Gaining weight for some people is just as difficult as losing weight for others. A bad diet can cause health complications for your body.
Eat regularly
One of the first steps toward healthy weight gain is eating every three hours. When you eat every few hours, you will eat more calories and prevent your body from losing lean body mass.
High-calorie foods
We think high-calorie foods, we think fat. Fat usually has twice as many calories as the same amount of protein or carbohydrates. Avoid coconut and palm oil as they contain saturated fat. A good choice for calorie-rich weight gain foods
Variety of food
Eat at least three different foods at each meal. But you want to be sure to include at least three different foods when you’re snacking on them, too. Snacks that are good for gaining weight, such as yogurt with fruit and peanut butter
Eat before bed
Enjoy a healthy dinner or late night. Our cells regenerate and repair and heal. By eating later or snacking before bed.
Drink as much liquid as possible
Drinking fruit juice can provide calories along with vitamins and minerals. You can add a tablespoon or two of protein powder or regular whey powder to increase the calories and protein content.
Carb food
Carbohydrates are another food group that can help with weight gain. You need to consume enough starch or carbohydrates to use up the extra protein. If you want to build muscle, you need enough carbohydrates to fuel the process.
Love protein
You have to eat protein. Be sure to have some form of protein at every meal. Healthy and protein-rich food that will help you gain weight.
Make sure you get enough sleep
Many people do not get enough eight hours of sleep each day. Your body needs adequate sleep to burn calories. Lack of sleep makes you sleepy and lethargic during the day. This increases your hunger and makes you prone to cravings which results in excess weight. Therefore sleep is important for weight loss and for better health.
